Review: Happy Spanksgiving

Happy Spanksgiving by Tymber Dalton
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

The Crafty Bastards host another erotic party filled with kinky fun. This time, Thanksgiving is a Spankgiving party of floggings, orgasms and spankings galore. Max, Sean, and Cali are the go to hosts for the private parties. They enjoy doing it and it helps them sell more of their deviant toys too, even if they are a bit hesitant about pushing products on their friends. Their products are quality material and they shouldn't worry so much.

This party does end up with a downer when Max and Sean's ex-lover is found murdered. Even if she was a horrible person who treated Max and Sean terribly with humiliation and emotional abuse, she did not deserve to be killed in the manner she was slayed. Unfortunately for Sean and Max, they are pulled in as persons of interest even if they have had nothing to do with her for years. This death goes through the kinky grapevine like a wildfire in California.

Ms. Dalton once again shows h…

Review: Let the Dead Lie

Let the Dead Lie by W.L. Brooks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Captivating, moving and surprising, this book is a great read. This kicks off a new series from the talented Ms. Brooks. I am hooked on her stories and I can not wait to read the next book in this series. Quite frankly, she is an auto-read author for me now. I will pick up the book without reading her book blurb.

I enjoyed going into this story cold. I wasn't sure what to expect. From the first page, the story pulled me in. As the story unfolds, the reader learns more about this McKay family. I'm in love with this family created from the heart. Emmit McKay is an impressive man who is big hearted and loves his girls. He wants to provide a safe hope to orphaned children. He found four girls who needed his support and he does an amazing job as a single father.

I loved how the story slowly revealed a little bit more and showed how what one thinks is true may not be reality. Even the smallest of towns have secrets. Perceptio…

Review: Blues Beach

Emotional rollercoaster worth the ride. Read it! #heartbreaking #sweet @tymberdalton
Blues Beach by Tymber Dalton
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Warning, this is an emotional story which dances upon a shared suicide edge for a portion of the book. For those who struggle with whether to commit suicide or not, this book may trigger a desire to end it. I love stories that make me feel strongly. Usually the ones which stab a dagger into my heart and twists it so slowly that I bleed out from heartbreak, make it to my four star rating immediately. This story can be read as a standalone but is not recommended. Read the following three books: Heartache Spoken Here, Roll with the Punches and A Case of You to receive a better understanding of all the characters mentioned in this story.

This is Tracey's story. She made a mistake in her youth by letting the love of her life go. She never got over it and ended up making one mistake after another. Sometimes for people, there is one defining moment in t…

Losing It by Christine d'Abo blog tour and giveaway

One of my favourite authors brings forth a new book!  #soexcited #blogtour #giveaway @riptidebooks

Hello, my name is Christine d’Abo and I’m so happy to be here today.
All things, no matter how good and loved, must eventually come to an end. When I originally planned to write my Ringside Romance series, it was only going to be three books. But then my lovely Justin came into being and there was no way I could leave this world without giving him his happy ending. So here we are, at the final stop on the journey, with both excitement and a few tears.
Justin’s character was my way of showing myself that every character can be his or her own hero. That we don’t have to be slaves to our circumstances, that given the right motivation and support from those who love us, we can move past our own negativity and become someone more.
Justin thought the person to help him was Grady.
That was because he hadn’t met Finn yet.
By helping Finn find his voice, Justin realizes that there’s more to life, more …

Review: Queen Takes Queen

Queen Takes Queen by Joely Sue Burkhart
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Intense, sensual and loving, the third in this series is another breath taking dive into a fantastic world of intrigue, loyalty and betrayal. The first two books in the series should be read before reading this one. Full disclosure, I did not read the blurb. I read the book because I have come to love this series and have already read the books several times over. That being said, I may have come into this book with a misconception when I read the title. I thought perhaps this was going to have some F/f kinky love and I was all ready for it. Spoiler alert...there is really not that much f/f. Maybe a little too much for readers who can not stand women kissing and a bit of petting to first base, but really, I was a bit let down with the lack of girl and girl action. Still, the erotic scenes are rough, primal and just how I like my sex. Five stars on the erotica alone.

Erotica scenes aside, the fighting does take precedence …
